Music Camp is in need of a Public Relations Manager. This is a paid position with considerable responsibility. Become a part of a small, tight-knit team in a growing organization that is committed to skilled, biblical training in music and worship for the everyday Anabaptist.
The Job
The Public Relations Manager (PRM) position is being formed to develop relationships and regular communication between SCMC and our constituents. The PRM will work with the Executive Director to build relationships with donors, find creative ways to market our products and services, and communicate our message winsomely to the public.
The specific job description and expectations will be tailored to the strengths and interests of the individual.
The Office
Music Camp “Central” is the organization that supports the PermaCamps (in Ontario, Ohio, and Virginia), organizes mobile camps, and provides a growing body of music and resources for churches, schools, and choirs.
The PRM will work out of an office in Harrisonburg, VA. The current Central team is made up of the Executive Director (Wendell Nisly), Bookkeeper (Jeanene Nisly), Curriculum Writer (Regina Brubaker), and Administrative Assistant (Melissa Moyer).
The Numbers
This job is not a voluntary service position, and has potential for a long-term career position. The work is currently slated to be part-time, but negotiation is possible. SCMC intends to pay a wage comparable to a similar job in the business world, including 3% matching IRA funding after 6 months.
The Date
This is a new position that is open until it gets filled. It begins as soon as is mutually agreeable.
