WHo Makes Music Camp Happen?
Anabaptist Renaissance Consortium
The Anabaptist Renaissance Consortium (ARC), a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit Virginia corporation, sponsors Shenandoah Christian Music Camp. ARC is controlled by a board of seven Trustees from several different conservative Anabaptist church groups.
SCMC Steering Committee
Immediate policy oversight of SCMC is through a Steering Committee of brethren from various conservative Anabaptist congregations. An Administration composed of the Camp Administrator, the Camp Dean, and the Steering Committee Chairman care for the operations of the ministry. An advisory board, with members representing various conservative Mennonite and Anabaptist groups, also gives input to and support for the camp.

Kenneth Martin, *Chairman, Harrisonburg, VA
Kenneth is a member of Calvary Mennonite Fellowship (BMA). He founded and conducted the Shenandoah Chorale, has taught music at various Christian Schools and directed the SMBI choir. He is married to Audrey (Rohrer) and has two young sons, William and Elliott.
Paul Emerson, *Administrator, Harrisonburg, VA
Paul is pastor of Calvary Mennonite Fellowship (BMA), and has had 41 years of ministry leadership experience. He has held several positions in business administration and is currently editor-in-chief of Sword & Trumpet. He is married to Gail (Pounding).
Wendell Nisly, *Administrator Elect, Harrisonburg, VA
Wendell is a member of of Calvary Mennonite Fellowship (BMA) and currently teaches at Calvary Christian Academy. He has taught music at the high school level for a number of years and has been the conductor of Oasis Chorale since 2003. He is married to Jeanene (Nisly) who is the secretary for the planning committee.
Jonathan Miller, *Academic Dean, Stuarts Draft, VA
Jonathan is a member of Pilgrim Christian Fellowship (Beachy) of Stuarts Draft, VA. Jonathan taught school for 10 years, has directed the church youth choir for more than 15 years and is nearing completion of his B.A. in Music Education. He is married to Malinda (Swarey) and has 4 children: Kristan, Karl, Patrick, and Heidi.
Steve Byler, Singers Glen, VA
Steve is a member and associate pastor of Calvary Mennonite Fellowship (BMA) and previously directed a youth choir for eight years. He is married to Rosalind (McGrath) and has seven children: Douglas, Margaret, Helen, Katherine, William, Charles and Veronica.
Benjamin Good, Perry, NY
Benjamin is a member of Silver Lake Mennonite (Beachy) and has traveled extensively singing with various choirs. He has also directed choirs at SMBI and Elnora Bible Institute. He is married to Ann and has a daughter, Gloria and a son, Leon.
Joshua Good, South Boston, VA
Joshua is a member of Ebenezer Mennonite (Southeastern Conference) and a member of the Voice of Praise men's quartet. He is married to Kimberly (Witmer) and has three sons, Miles, Lucas, and Ian.
Joe Miller, Stuarts Draft, VA
Joe is a member of Ebenezer Mennonite (Southeastern Conference) and has traveled extensively singing with various choirs. Joe is a member of the Voice of Praise men's quartet. He is married to Crystal (Good) and has three children: Simon, Phoebe, and Thomas.
James Swartz, Harrisonburg, VA
James has sung with a number of touring choirs from Faith Builders and also with Oasis Chorale. He is a member of Bethany Mennonite (Southeastern Conference).
Jotham Yoder, Charlottesville, VA
Jotham attends Koinonia Fellowship (unaffiliated) and has sung with Oasis Chorale and Hope Singers. He also serves as the webmaster for the Music Camp websites.

Audrey Martin, Harrisonburg, VA
Audrey is a member of Calvary Mennonite Fellowship (BMA) and is married to Kenneth Martin who serves as the Chairman of the Music Camp Planning Committee. They have two sons: William and Elliot.
Administrative Assistants
Regina Brubaker of Harrisonburg, VA, serves as Administrative Assistant to the Academic Dean. She is a member of Calvary Mennonite Fellowship and teaches elementary music at the church academy. She is presently pursuing a degree in Music Education at James Madison University.
Brenda Hershberger of Harrisonburg, VA serves as Administrative Assistant to the Camp Administrator. She is a member of Calvary Mennonite Fellowship and works in the Calvary church office primarily serving as Paul Emerson’s personal secretary.
